 ***Live At The Beehive has come out with lots of”deluxe” stuff. On the first release, they fill out the two-cd set with two other performances. Then a cd called “More Live At The Beehive” out (all previously unreleased performances), and that too had supplemental material from a NYC show with Sonny Rollins.
The first two links are the original Live At The Beehive album. These tapes incidentally were in the trunk of the car that crashed and took poor Clifford (and Bud Powell’s brother’s) life. The tapes are raw but amazing.
The third link is the Beehive recordings from the “More Live At The Beehive” cd.
The last two links are the “supplemental” material that fills out the two releases.
I have labeled each show what it is, as opposed to “Live at the Beehive, Disc 2″, just so you know.
I also slipped in an interview of Max talking about Clifford.
Enjoy these truly amazing recordings of the great Clifford and Max at their absolute best!
